Deadlock damage amplification is fiendishly complicated

Deadlock's damage amplification seems to behave erratically. Fortunately, our favorite YouTuber is back to explain how Deadlock calculates damage amp.

Deadlock damage amplification is fiendishly complicated

If you’ve ever wondered why Bebop‘s damage amp is completely unlike Infernus‘, it’s because Deadlock’s damage amplification system seems to be designed on a character by character basis. Luckily, the very YouTuber who decoded the base damage system has returned to explain exactly how damage amplification works in Deadlock.

Currently, there are 11 sources of Deadlock damage amplification in the game, but they all seem to behave very differently to one another, leading to a great deal of confusion within the Deadlock community. Some appear to be additive, while others are multiplicative. Honestly, it’s so complicated that only Yapistism seems to have taken the time to piece it all together and test out the variables.

Alarmingly, there are actually two other weapon damage types affected by damage amplification which are due to be covered in future videos, underlining just how complicated damage amp can get in what should otherwise be a fairly transparent system.
