Spread around the Deadlock map are a number of Deadlock breakables in the form of Crates and Golden Statues.
After 3 minutes of in-game time has passed, Crates and Golden Statues will spawn, providing players with an opportunity to acquire additional Souls, and gain permanent buffs.
Deadlock Crates
Crates appear as small to large wooden containers which, when smashed with a melee attack, ranged weapon attack, or ability, have a chance to drop a number of Souls based on the amount of time that has elapsed.
Currently, crates have a base soul value of 30, and increase by 2.5 Souls per minute elapsed following the start of the match. Eg:
- 10 minutes – 55 Souls
- 20 minutes – 80 Souls
- 30 minutes – 105
Deadlock Golden Statues
Golden Statues are rarer but far more valuable than Crates. While a Golden Statue will never drop Souls to help you get the next Deadlock item for your build, Golden Statues drop permanent, stacking buffs.
As of spawning, Golden Statues have a 50% chance to drop one of the following buffs, increasing in strength as time elapses:
3-10 minutes | 10-30 minutes | 30+ minutes |
---|---|---|
+1.5% weapon fire rate | +2% weapon fire rate | +2.5% weapon fire rate |
+4% weapon ammo capacity | +6% weapon ammo capacity | +8% weapon ammo capacity |
+0.75% ability cooldown reduction | +1% ability cooldown reduction | +1.5% ability cooldown reduction |
+3% weapon damage | +4% weapon damage | +7% weapon damage |
+20 to maximum health | +30 to maximum health | +40 to maximum health |
+2 base spirit power | +3 base spirit power | +5 base spirit power |
Farming Golden Statues can sometimes be a waste of time if you hit an unluckly streak or get permanent buffs that aren’t particularly useful to your chosen Deadlock hero. However, if you’re lucky, you can vastly exceed anything that basic items from the Curiosity Shop can give you, and become a real powerhouse come the late game.
